Character Development:William & Arthur

I have learned many things about William that I probably wouldnt have known if I met the guy in person for the first time. I learned that he is a very hard working kid on an off the court. I thought he would just act and be humble infront of people but he is always like that. I also found out that he has a kid at such a young age which I couldnt believe cause I wouldnt imagine him having a kid. The thing that also attracted my attention was how the all-star basketball player William would get with a shy, quiet, girl even though he probably could have got any girl he wants but I guess since she was the only girl that wasnt attracted to him he probably wondered why she wasnt atracted to him so he went for her and fell in love with her. I have learned from Arthur that he is a good basketball player,messes around alot, and a straight out guy. I learned that even though he likes joking around he gets the things he needs to do done and knows how to be serious in the right time.

HOOP SUENOS

The important thing to know about him is that he has a kis and he is only 16 years of life. This story takes place in Chicago. This is important cause they live in the ghetto and trying to make it in the hood without getting shot and focus on studies and BASKETBALL.

Well my quote on my book is "damn their financial obligations!This dump isnt good enough for authur Agee.They were lucky to have me. They should pay me to come here." I found this on page 68. I found this interesting because its not fun and games sometimes. You gotta pay off what you need to pay before its too late. I found it interesting how Arthur did work as in clean up the school but i guess its all about money. I think he is going to pay it off and they will give him time for that.

Coach Pingatore told this to Arthur to let him now what he is capable of doing but it isnt just him doing it, he needs arthur to do his part as well. I think this quote is special because its kinda not always about basketball even though thats what I thought, but you still really need the grades cause that is a big part of basketball too which I found true in my learning experience. I think that probably Arthur might not  get the grades then later on he will get back on track and be better than he was before on and of the court.

Hoop Dreams

Well the connections between my book "Hoop Dreams" and my life is that my book is about a kid named authur that loves and plays basketball like me. He is skinny,tall,a point guard, and a awesome basketball player that relates too me. One of his idols is one of mine aswell "Isiah Thomas" which is a great basketball player. The book relates to my life alot like how his brother plays basketball aswell and is older than him.Well thats how the book relates to my life .

Money doesnt make the world go round for Alex!

"He accepted Burres offer to drive him there,but when she tried to give him a little money for helping out at the swap meet, she recalls, "he acted real offended. I told him, "Man, you gotta have,money to get along in this world,but he wouldnt take it."This post was from page 46 in the second paragraph where how Alex was working for Burres at the swap meet and he wanted to pay Alex but he wouldnt accept it.I chose this because for Alex money isnt everything, its just about being happy in life.Which I think is important in life instead of having money and not being happy so thats why i chose this post

Starting New

"I dont want to know what  day it is or where i am. None of that matters." I found this on page 7. I like this quote because i could tell that he wants to start a new life for himself and start over by creating new days starting on year zero and just starting with a fresh beginning by going in the wild and doing things his way. I found this quote when the man that picked him up asked him if he wanted a watch to know what day it is and Alex (Chris) said no.
